Use of IT buildings for non IT purposes in Chennai

No Comments Sub Category:Chennai,Realty News Posted On: Nov 07, 2012

ChennaiThe long pending request of Chennai’s commercial property developers to let them use the IT buildings for non-IT  purposes like finance, education, hospital, hospitality and retail will very soon be granted.

The developers proposal will soon be accepted  if the recommendations of the CMDA are approved by the state government. This  might be followed by a rule that the developers will have to pay premium FSI charges for the additional FSI which is taken for IT buildings. However, a final decision has to be taken.

It was stated by the officials that the proposal was sent to the government considering the plight of commercial property developers followed by the current market scenario and the prolonged delay in leasing IT buildings.
