Vadra-DLF land deal: Birender Singh puts the blame on CM Hooda
Even after joining the BJP, the former Congress leader Birender Singh shows his loyalty towards his former party Congress. He avoids commenting on the controversial land deal in Haryana which involved the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra.
Singh claimed that he had alerted Sonia to beware of chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda‘s “handiwork.” Singh mentioned that Hooda government’s policy of change of land use (CLU) stood for “cheating, looting uninterrupted (CLU)”. Birender Singh condemned the CLU on Monday and talked in details about the intentions of the CM Hooda’s government.
He claimed that 60,000 acres had been acquired (by the government and private players) in Haryana for different purposes during the Hooda regime. This was done despite the fact that even Sonia did not favour the acquisition of fertile land.
When the media asked about the land deal of Vadra’s firm with real estate giant DLF, Birender tried to safeguard Vadra. He asked the media why they are singling out one deal? Birender Singh refused to comment on it.
He further mentioned that he had told Sonia Gandhi about the handiwork of the chief minister Hooda. This entire deal was neither in the interest of her family nor the party. Birender Singh explained trying to safeguard Sonia Gandhi and the name of the Gandhi Nehu family.
