Valuable land lying waste in Faridabad

No Comments Sub Category:Realty News Posted On: Feb 12, 2014

In Sector 10, over 11 acres, land worth crores of rupees is lying unguarded and, in fact, wasted. It is opposite to district headquarters. The land has become a spot for anti-social elements.

As the land is located in a prime area the market rate is estimated to be between Rs 60,000 and Rs 70,000 per square yard. Even though the plan had been approved by the authorities in Chandigarh, the officials did not ensure steps to develop it. The land is under the possession of Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) since January 2011 after the owner lost a legal battle.

A commercial centre, a park and apartments for HUDA employees have been proposed by the department. However, an official nod is yet to be received.

Satpal Singh, Estate Officer ensured that he would look into alleged nefarious activities and would get proper fencing and a boundary around it.
