Residents of Teliabagh, Varanasi have been protesting over overflowing sewage which has entered their houses.

The sewage line passes through the residential area which is partially covered in the locality.

The depth of the line is 15 metres but Varanasi Nagar Nigam did not take measures to remove the slit deposited resulting in less depth now.

Their protests led them to hold captive of VNN employees and they staged a massive demonstration in front of the office.

The ADM of the city has assured that the issue will be solved very soon.
