Waste disposal in Madikeri is a concern
The residents of Madikeri are disposing the waste, garbages beside the roads which is increasing the unhealthy atmosphere of the tourist town.
The City Municipality Council has put in place a mechanism for disposal of waste and the council also appealed to all the residents not to throw waste into the drain and on the road side.
The council has also urged the public not to paste posters on the walls and thus damage the beauty of the town.
This unplanned dumping of garbages increases the spread of contagious diseases during summer.
As it is a tourist attractive town, the council has ordered all the hotels to supply with hot water and maintain cleanliness while preparing the food.
