Waste treatment plant in Pernem will start soon
The Pernem municipal council (PMC) chairman has told that the garbage treatment plant will start functioning very soon.
As garbage is a growing concern for the city, the municipality has taken up the treatment plant as a priority work.
The municipality had acquired around 30,000 sq mtr of land for the project at the Pernem plateau. The construction work is completed and the installation of machinery is about to be finished very soon.
The authority has planned to collect garbage from the surrounding villages to maintain the steady supply of garbage to the treatment plant.
