Comments(3) Sub Category:Bangalore,Cities,Municipality,Realty News Posted On: Jun 09, 2012

Water-SupplyThe water supply in Bangalore will be hit on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (12th June to 14th June) as the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) will be carrying out work on the Cauvery Stage IV (Phase I) project.

Water supply will be disrupted on Tuesday from 10 am onwards. Though water will be supplied intermittently, BWSSB officials will not be able to tell which area would get water during partial distribution.

Six of the 52 reservoirs in and around the city will also be de-silted on these three days. It will take the BWSSB 68 hours to drain water from the reservoirs and fill it up. They will try to carry out the work in 20 hours.

While BWSSB will be working on Cauvery IV stage, Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation (KPTCL) will be converting the existing 66 KVA lines at TK Halli to 220 KVA lines on the same days. They are coordinating with Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (Bescom) and KPTCL for the work to be completed in 24 hours.
