West Bangalore to get Cauvery water supply
Bangalore- Several areas in West Bangalore will shortly get Cauvery water supply from Hegganahalli ground-level reservoir.
The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB), following the commissioning of the Cauvery IV Stage Phase II, has charged different feeder mains in order to facilitate distribution of water from various ground-level reservoirs.
BWSSB in a press release announced that it has completed the work of testing and commissioning of the feeder mains in northern, southern and western parts of Bangalore, while work is in progress in East Bangalore.
Some of the areas which will be supplied Cauvery water from Hegganahalli reservoir include Mallasandra, Pattanagere, Bhuvaneshwarinagar Layout, Halagevaderahalli village area, Jnana Bharathi Layout, Nagadevanahalli and Valagerahalli blocks (BDA pockets), Â Jagajyothi Nagar Layout, Upadhyaya Layout, Gajanan Nagar, Hegganahalli Cross Roads, parts of Srinivasanagar, Karim Sab Layout, Ramaiah Layout, Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Parvathi Nagar, Peenya Industrial Area 2nd and 3rd Phases of 2nd Stage and surrounding areas, and Laggere.
The residents of these areas, who are yet to get metered connections, have been requested to apply through simplified application forms.
