40 percent water shortage in Mira-Bhayander

1 Comment Sub Category:Community,Municipality Posted On: Dec 27, 2011

The water supply planning for the year 2005-2010 has shown a miserable failure in Mumbai.

Now, the Mira-Bhayander Municipal Corporation (MBMC) has been held for lagging behind in the municipal works.

The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) has now taken initiative of inspecting this case. The water supply demand has reduced so much that few areas in the city had to face water shortage upto 34 to 40 percent.
CAG has passed on orders to MBMC to take immediate measures to provide proper water supply and especialy to maintain good rapport between various departments to avoid unauthorized water supply.
