GHMC gets Rs 3600 crore budget for 2012-13
The Mayor of Hyderabad has allocated a budget of Rs 3,600 crore to GHMC for the fiscal year 2012-13.
Earlier this budget was proposed to be Rs 2,934.99 crore by the GHMC commissioner.
But the civic body’s standing committee urged it to be Rs 3,600 crore raised by Rs 300 crore from previous year’s budget.
The main motive of allocating such a high budget is for the development of the city.
The civic body also hopes to collect Rs 720 crore as property tax this year.
They also aim at collecting Rs 160 crore from building permission fee, Rs 80 crore from betterment charges, Rs 35 crore from advertising and hoarding fee and Rs 12 crore from garbage collection charges.
