1 Comment Sub Category:Uncategorized Posted On: Feb 28, 2012

Goa, the most demanding tourist destination in India also experiencing the high growth in Real Estate. However the growth in Real estate in Goa was done by private sector.

The Goa housing board (GHB) is very slow to fulfill the need of providing housing projects for the local residents. The gap is filled by the private real estate developers.

Though the GHB is slow but they are showing improvements in last few years. In 2007 GHB developed 34 residential plots. While in 2008 they have constructed 36 row houses. In 2009 the improvement is slightly better. they have built 22 row houses and 30 1-BHK flats, 8 2-BHK Flats.

Recently the state has made a committee for working on the housing policy, determining the demand and supply ratio for the coming years. But this board is also working very slow compared to the expectation
