Kerala government rules for real estate

1 Comment Sub Category:Uncategorized Posted On: Mar 06, 2012

The real estate industry of Kerala is expecting a slow down in the development process. After the new guidelines outlined by the Ministry of Environment and Forest (MoEF), the real estate development process has been paused!

The guideline clearly says that the multi storey apartment should be surrounded by wider road. And the proportion also indicated in the guideline. As per the new rule a 15 storey building must have a 24 meter road around it.

However, the major concern area for the developers association is that most of the places in Kerala does not have enough space to create the wider surrounding roads.

Also,  the fire safety is also one of the area of concern in the guideline. The government itself will not be able to provide the required infrastructure for the fire safety in the state.
