US based PE fund planned to invest in Indian real estate

Walton Street Capital, a US based private equity fund planned to raise its fund for real estate in India.
In 2007 the Walton Street invested in Kolkata based project of Shriram Properties.
But the project has failed to take off even after five years of investment. During last year the investment was swapped by the investors.
It is has been learned that the Walton Street has already initiated the fund raising process from the market.
