Bangalore residents believe in helping than criticizing
Residents of JRD Tata Nagar, Bangalore have thought of helping themselves than keep on criticizing the authorities.
The best example is when in 1995, the water problem took toll then they paid Rs 78 lakh to the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) to the needful.
That money was given to lay water supply pipes to their place from Hebbal.
The residents also spent around Rs 10 lakh to construct a 3 -lakh litre sump and 1.5 -lakh litre overhead sump. For the next few years, there was no shortage of water.
But the problem has arisen as the board is using the water diverting it to some other areas resulting in less water supply for the JRD Tata Nagar residents.
JRD Tata Nagar Residents’ Welfare Association have also made plans to sink a borewell and the civic body will provide the water filter for the sewage that gets in the water.
