L&T subsidiary acquires Henikwon Corporation
Henikwon Corporation has been acquired by Tamco Switchgear, a wholly owned subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro.
Malaysia-based Tamco is a part of L&T’s Electrical & Automation (E&A) business.
Henikwon Corporation, based in Malaysia, makes low voltage and medium voltage bus duct systems. L&T said the Henikwon brand is globally recognized and offers products of international quality standards.
Bus duct systems are enclosed metal units containing copper or aluminum bus bars for the distribution of large amount of power between the components of a distribution system.
Mr S. C. Bhargava, Chairman, Tamco Switchgear, said that the acquisition will be complementary to the E&A portfolio and make comprehensive offerings for the building and infrastructure segments.
