Ghaziabad- A police complaint was filed by the residents of an upscale housing society in Ahimsa Khand-II of Indirapuram, stating that Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) and the developer was negligent regarding the appropriate fire safety measures in their society.
The complaint was filed by the RWA residents when a fire broke out in the fifth floor of the apartment. Despite the fact that the fire was doused immediately by alert residents and the maintenance staff, the RWA alleged that the fire tenders were not in the society premises which resulted in a major blaze.
It was also alleged by the residents that the nearby sample construction flat which was situated near the gate of the society had encroached an additional space of about 6m which was to be left vacant for the movement of fire tenders.
Despite several complaints by the residents, the sample flat was still not demolished . The residents are at a threat of loosing their life and property due to the builder’s and the GDAs negligence.
