Kolkata- The first meeting of task force on urban infrastructure will be held on 10th of December 2012 at state assembly to resolve the problems of developers .
The representatives of the construction-builder community will also be part of this meeting. This force set up by Mamata Banerjee comprises of chief secretary and ministers and secretaries of the finance, industries and urban development departments.
According to sources, discussion was held on eradication of Urban Land Ceiling Act demanded by real estate firms due to problems faced in investment in Bengal. The issue was raised at the Bengal Builds conclave.
Despite several efforts of Hidco authorities to resolve the problems related to syndicate raj, it is spreading like a infectious disease among developers especially in areas like Rajarhat New Town. Thus, this topic can also be a part of the discussion in the meeting.
The proposal of revision and increment of Floor area ratio (FAR) given to developers state government is under consideration in the state cabinet and will be passed soon.
