Spanky look to Kolkata
Many parts of Kolkata like the northern outskirts will soon adorn a decked up look with various authorities like Housing and Infrastructure Development Corporation (Hidco), Nabadiganta Industrial Township Authority (NDITA), Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority and Bidhannagar Municipality have come with projects to beautify the area.
Urban development minister Firhad Hakim has said that the project will include decorating the roads, creating boulevards, proper street lightnings, restoring all the damaged roads and many more. Earlier the government had appointed the beautification committee for the “holistic project” which is headed by Hakim and comprises of members from traffic police officers and forest departments officials and from the urban development .
