Delhi-NCR public transport plying without fitness certificates
New Delhi- In a recent survey, about 82 percent of the public transport vehicles in Delhi have been plying without fitness certificates. There are about 78 percent who have not procured fitness certificates and are functioning without any pollution certificates as well.
These violations came into light when the prominent incident of Delhi gang rape took place in a private bus. The bus boarded with the gang rape miscreants was plying a permit in the city.
Also a survey conducted on December 2012 pertaining the safety norms stated that a large number of school drivers with vehicles had invalid driving licenses too.
An age group between 25-29 years on a large, fell into this violation followed by different age groups. As part of the drive, around 2000 vehicles were checked by the authorities.
