Cong allowed 2398 land deals in one year: Dhumal
PK Dhumal, leader of the Opposition in Himachal Pradesh recently said that during its regime of the Land Tenancy Act, the Congress had allowed 2,398 land transactions worth 11,500 bighas under Section 118.
He also mentioned as compared to BJP regime under the same section it was much higher as compared to 1,640 land approvals worth 14,500 bighas. Dhumal added land in the state was on sale and its fresh instance was the temple land of McLeodganj which was given on lease to a Punjab resident.
He further added, in the field of development the BJP government got 85 awards, while in the past 15 months the Congress government was acting on a political vendetta and engaged itself with large-scale transfers, and told that corruption was at its peak at that time.
Dhumal reacted on the media statement of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh that “He would not answer any corruption charges”, he was ruling the state like a ruler where nobody could even talk about the corruption issue.
