Delhi Metro Rail Corporation grants Rs 300 crore order to HCC
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (DMRC) has awarded the Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) Ltd, a Rs 300 crore contract. This is the third time that the company has received contract from DMRC for the underground metro since October 2012 under the phase III development of Delhi Metro.
The contract is primarily for the design and construction of 1.54km long twin tunnel on Dwarka-Najafgarh metro corridor. It also includes the construction of the underground station namely Municipal Corporation which is 290 meters long and 30 meters in width. The station will be built at depth of 18 meters. This would be one of the biggest underground stations. The work is slated to be completed in 36 months.
