Reserved Plots should be kept only for Public Amenities
The PMC should develop proper amenities in the newly-developed areas and all plots which are reserved under the development plan in the city, should be developed only as parks and public amenities said Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray. Speaking at the inauguration of Sachin Balasaheb Angre public park in Paud road area, he said, “Though this park is being inaugurated in my presence, I appeal to the Pune Municipal Corporation and corporators to avoid delay in opening such facilities. Citizens need such facilities and it is not necessary to arrange for political leaders to inaugurate public amenities”.
Stressing that the reserved plots should be kept only for public amenities, he said, there should not be any sort of interference from the builders’ lobby. The PMC should be watchful in such matters. “People pay taxes to the government and it is the duty of the government to develop amenities for them,” he added.
Citizens need such facilities and it is not necessary to arrange for political leaders to inaugurate public amenities he said.
Also all plots which are reserved under the development plan in the city, should be developed only as parks and public amenities. Also, there was no need to wait for political leaders to inaugurate such facilities.
Mayor Mohansingh Rajpal, local corporator Kishor Shinde, MNS city unit chief Prakash Dhore were also present at the function.
