AP Govt to soon give online permissions for layouts and construction
Layout permissions for construction of houses and buildings in Andhra Pradesh will soon go online; with the State government having deployed the requisite GPS (global position system) solutions.
The GPS solutions have been deployed by the AP government in order to ensure that layout permissions are granted within a week.
The layout permissions for houses and buildings will be linked with GPS information solutions by the Municipal Administration Ministry with the key objective of making the functioning of Town Planning Department more transparent.
The move with regard to granting online layout permissions was announced at a review meeting held in Hyderabad on Sunday. At the meeting, Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana asked the officials to come up with a plan which will help reduce the time lags in clearance of the applications which seek permissions for layouts and construction.
The decision to grant online layout and construction permissions for houses and buildings will help ensure that the authorities can clear applications seeking such clearance in a much speedier and smoother manner.
Asserting that the move will cut down delays in clearances, Narayana said in an official statement: “We will take a serious view on allegations of corruption and delays.”
