No more Garbage and Stink in Goa
Residents in Goa will finally be spared from the stink emitting from the garbage at Patto plaza. The Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) had recently issued a notice to the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) to stop dumping wastes in the area. The move was issued after Chief Minister of Goa Mr Digambar Kamat directed the authorities to stop dumping garbage in the area.
KamatĀ also ordered GSPCB and urban development secretary to hasten the process of land acquisitions near Hira petrol pump for setting up a dry sorting station. Earlier residentsĀ of Mala along with MLA Manohar Parrikar and members of CCP had a meeting with the CM to appraise him of the situation. After listening to the woes of the residents the CM issued the ordinance.
