No Comments Sub Category:Uncategorized Posted On: Nov 15, 2011

Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has traced 50,000 illegal constructions which demands immediate implementation of new construction laws. Once the residents complete the impact fee payments, the regularization of the illegal construction that has been raised before March 28th, 2011 is said to be commencing at the earliest. A senior officer with the town planning department said that, their committee has issued guidelines to be followed before the commence of regularizing work. The constructions emerging in the common open plot (COP) and in the areas where parking in the buildings have been covered do not come under the regularizing act.

However, the builders are looking forward for the responses to be passed by the state government in concern with the parking issues. The prevailing building laws reveal a different suggestion of parking vehicles near the building which seems to be impossible all the time according to the residents. To bring in common and aim-able rule, SMC has circulated state government’s notification to impact fee law in concern with regularizing illegal constructions in the area municipal zones.
