Aim is to make Kochi “waste-free” city
Waste management has become a major headache to Thrikkakara municipality in Kochi.
The municipality has taken enough initiative to over come all these problems, however things never seem to be in place.
Around 5,000 houses have been planned to provide bio-pots in which organic waste can be collected.
Each of the pots will cost about Rs 1,500 and this will be implemented on experimental basis. Kochi government hopes this plan will make the city waste-free.
