Bangalore model waste management to be closed soon!
The well managed waste management programs in Bangalore city is in the pace of getting closed!
The waste management committee (WMC) was commenced by Kalayannagar Residents’ Welfare Association (KRWA) in collaboration with Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) and Centre for Environment Education in the year 1999.
This projected funded by Norwegian government aimed in collecting household waste, compost organic and biodegradable waste on daily basis.
This garbage collection system was first of its kind when BDA commenced its layouts in the city! The closure of this plant has been sad news to all the residents of the city.
The residents are unfortunate that namma BBMP is not helping the disposal unit to survive!
