Bangalore Waste Treatment Plant taken initiative by Comptroller and Auditor General of India
The act of improper planning and investment made by the BWSSB has been held by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) in its recent survey in the year 2010. CAG reported the same to the government authorities and insisted the government to appoint a separate for spending public money usefully. CAG founded out that the water board was releasing the treated water secretly into the channel from where it draws water.
BWSSB is recording a statistic and drawing nearly Rs 3.04 crore for water supply maintenance from the state government, annually only the power supply budget is also reaching Rs 1.38 crore. Â Meanwhile the government officials have decided to appoint a separate private wing to maintain the water supply and also the treatment water plants in Bangalore.
