Bannerghatta facing water shortage

Comments(2) Sub Category:Community,Municipality Posted On: Mar 28, 2012

The Bannerghatta Road stretch in Bangalore was once upon a time a small village.

Today the whole stretch including Bilekahalli , JP Nagar and Arakere have transformed into prominent IT hub. The establishment of IIM-B in 1983 gave a new look to this locality.

Many IT companies such as Accenture, HSBC and Honeywell all took foundations in this locality midst 90′s.

Once rich for its farmland and greenery, today builders and developers are seeing potential.

Also, follow up to IT companies many luxurious apartments such as Mantri, Prestige, Purva stood up attracting young IT professionals investing here! If these are the positives of the locality, there is one negative aspect too!

The builders, developers and the residents belonging to Bannerghatta Road and Bilekahalli stretch are facing water woes. People staying in the apartments are spending thousands of rupees for water supply on daily basis.

The locality residents have no other way but to look forward for the water to be supplied regularly from BBMP.
