BBMP releases Rs 7.5 crore fund to solve water problems
The water problems in Bangalore city seems not to end! However, namma Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has released huge sum of Rs 7.5 crore to solve water problems in the city.
The fed up citizens of Bangalore‘s pressure on namma BBMP has paved way for the release of this fund to BWSSB. BBMP released the money in order to purchase 40 new tankers of 4,000 litre capacity each.
These water tankers will be used to supply water to the remote areas. The BBMP officials say that they have been getting more number of complaints of improper water supply from the remote areas.
Other than this, also in the pipeline each residential ward has been granted additional Rs 25 lakh. Wherein around Rs 10 lakh will be used for maintenance and Rs 15 lakh for repair and maintenance.
