Namma Metro has brought down glee to the denizens of
Bangalore and also has come in as a helping hand to the
Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). The talks is that the BBMP is yet to hit floors with showering funds of more than Rs. 2 crore, it is all set to be crowned as the richest municipality wing in India. Meanwhile the
Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has come forward to pay tax to the BBMP purely on the commercial basis.
One of the senior officials in the BBMP reported saying that, self-assessment scheme (SAS) has been taken initiative by both the authorities BBMP and also BMRCL and soon the promise given to the government and the denizens will be fulfilled by them in a span of a month. In case, if at all BMRCL fails to keep up the promise the BBMP is ready to issue notice. The BBMP will be levying on BMRCL as it is not a Union government body instead a corporation body. The calculations for the financial payment midst the authorities is said to commence from April, 2012.
