Begumpet in Hyderabad witnessing commercial development
Begumpet, located at the centre of Hyderabad, has witnessed a rise in commercial activity. Commercial development was triggered by shifting of the Begumpet airport to Shamshabad.
Earlier Airport Authority of India had imposed restrictions on the number of floors that could be constructed for a commercial building and only two floors were allowed. However, these restrictions have been lifted and presently constructions up to five floors are allowed.
Many new commercial constructions have come up in the recent past like brand new showroom for Pantaloons, Shoppers Stop and Reliance store as well as office buildings such as Ashoka Tower and five star hotels like Vivanta. The commercial development has led to rise in the prices for commercial property in the locality.
