Bio bins to be used for proper waste management
Source level waste management has been a buzz word for quite some time and many actions have been taken to implement it.
Thiruvananthapuram city corporation is being planning to get new bio bins in the city as it facing garbage menace from a long time.
This initiative has been taken after Vilappilsala residents did not allow dumping of garbage near their area.
Due to these bins will be installed in different parts of the city, mainly besides apartments with the help of Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI).
The same initiative had been taken in Kochi five years back and since then it had been a success.
The bio bins made of fibre are two boxes filled with bacteria which dilutes the waste matter. The waste matter is then turned into compost and stored in the boxes.
