Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation on “zero garbage drive”

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation is on a new drive ahead in maintaining the Mumbai city. The concerned civic bodies have taken initiative of two new drives in aiming the city being free from garbage issues. “Zero garbage drive” is a new mantra in Mumbai now. The frequency of garbage collection from all over the city is expected to be increased to stop encouraging waste lying on the road. The civic activists and residents of Mumbai city have quires with the efficiency of prevailing drives taken initiative by the state government.

The residents are looking forward to the sustained campaign towards a litter-free Mumbai. One of the civic activist Anandini Thakoor reported saying that the civic body has been changing views in imposing fine on the public. However the people in the city just litter around and blame BMC. Also added on saying that the public should cooperate with the municipal administration for a clean city.

    MAHIM CHURCH GRAVEYARD GATE.A HISTORIC CHURCH BUILD IN 1565.feeeeelin sooo bad dat outside d church ssoooo much of garbage wat is dis goin on…..! — at St. Michael’s Church
    please look into the matter and try to solve it.

    please try 2 clean the garbage bcoz it all dumped near the church where people come to worship the temple we dnt want any illness to spread to the people let there be peace , so i request you to clean nd make mumbai mahim church clean and tidy…thanking you delfin galbano

    Dear,
    BMC Officers,

    When I visited the mahim church,I was suprise to see the dust bin(not there for year’s)as been created at mori road side.This church was build in 1565 and is a heritage building,please do some thing to stop this.
    Hoping for a quick action.
