Builder tried to manhandle the residents

According to residents of Knightsbridge Apartment in Whitefield, Vishwanath Reddy, a co-builder tried to manhandle them at the police station who went to complain against him. Vishwanatha Reddy and his relatives owns 72 of the 308 flats but he behaves as if he owns the entire complex. He does not abide by residents’ association rules.



According to them, Reddy has not paid the maintenance charges for his apartments for the past three months. He was issued notices thrice. Since he did not respond to these notices, the association, as per rules, disconnected water supply and power back-up to his apartments 20 days ago. On previous day, at around 7.30 pm, he came with a gang of seven, broke open the door and restored the power connection.

At around 8.30 am on Saturday the association called the police and narrated the incident. The Police said to file a complaint with the police. At around 10.15 am , the association members received a call from the facilities  manager, stating he had been beaten up by a gang. Immediately, 30 residents went to the Mahadevapura police station at around 10.30 am

According to residents when they reached police station, they saw Reddy and his associates coming out. When Reddy knew the residents came to police station to complaint against him, he even tried to manhandle the residents at the police station.Residents said the police wanted Ashok the facilities  manager, to give his statement so they could file an FIR.
