CARWA is geared up for meeting-cum-workshop in January,2015
The all India meeting and workshop of Confederation of All Residents’ Welfare Associations, which was all set for January 25 earlier is again set to another unfixed date in the same month only. The meetup which is planned to guide all the RWAs junctures across Delhi about the role and working of the body is charged up for the first month of coming year.The main cause of the gathering are going to be the bolstering up of the constitution by addressing problems in connection with the functioning. According to our reliable sources, about four hundred members will be trained in the workshop.
The chief hindrance in organizing the event is the upcoming Delhi assembly elections which might be taking place either in the January end or the beginning of February. Keeping a workshop near to the elections will violate code of conducts to which president of CARWA, N P Singh also stated that they in the first made plans to hold the meeting on January 25th. He agreed to the reason that all the top leaders would be in Delhi on the Republic day but then they had to alter their plans seeing the possible clash with elections campaigning. Singh hinted on a date around January 15th.
N P singh in his speech quoted that their motto is to distribute equal powers among RWAs across all the states of the country. It is seen that CARWA is trying to launch their functioning as gram sabhas which will be a link between the common man and the governing unit. He additionally promised that special steps are being taken to keep corruption away from the governing body at all the levels.
Current Matrix of CARWA
Confederation of All Residents’ Welfare Associations (CARWA), registered on November 13, 2014, has nationwide handling zone. The body is recorded beneath the Societies Registration Act 1880 by C Velmurugan, registrar of societies, district (East) and government of NCT Delhi. The present network of CARWA includes nine state members including UP, Delhi, West Bengal, Kerala, Maharashtra,Orissa, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu. In an official statement the president of the working body persuaded that the plan is to include all the states before the conference is held.
