Citizens question BMC for poor infrastructure

No Comments Sub Category:Community,Municipality Posted On: Jan 07, 2012

From past five years the citizens of Mumbai have paid Rs 46,072 crore as tax amount to Brihanmumbai Mumnicipal Corporation (BMC).

Now the citizens and opposition political parties want to have a clear picture about where BMC has spent such a big amount.

The pathetic infrastructure at several areas in Mumbai provoked the citizens to voice out their concern to BMC.

When the citizens have paid the taxes regularly, why haven’t BMC followed up with improving city’s infrastructure similarly?

And this is not the end, BMC also gets revenue form various sources, however highest revenue is form property tax!

Now, BMC has no other go but to follow up the infrastructure work and clear all the doubts of the citizens to avoid further chaos.
