Countless mutation cases pending in NMC
Nagpur- The civic bodies make announcement about offering service to people and increasing revenue but they have turned a blind eye to irregularities happening in the department of property tax.It’s known that mutation of property tax in Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC)’s property tax records can be seldom completed by following official process. However, the truth was that there were countless mutation cases were pending in all the ten zones.
NCP ex-corporator Vedprakash Arya had presented the ruling BJP office-bearers and other officers with actual confirmation of problems happening in property tax department in 2011 but unfortunately no steps have been taken so far. According to NMC, most of the cases have some or the other report missing. However, authorities are least bothered to issue a notice which is mandatory. Only few cases had been given notice.
Moreover Standing committee chairperson Dayashankar Tiwari said that the candidates did not possess a proper card issued by city survey.
Arya said that Asi Nagar and Mangalwari sector administrators were so arrogant and denied to give him reports, though it will be mandatory for officers to provide data if a corporator demands it.
