Deadline passed, BBMP yet to act!
The deadline for making the state pothole free was given as January 15, 2012 by the Chief Minister.
However, BBMP indulged with its own activities is yet to act upon the notice.
A large budget of about Rs 1,000 crore was sanctioned to work on the potholes roads. The count of potholes has been 47000 till date.
Furthermore, the civic body is making out excuses against the remedial work.
Metro construction and bad roads are being blamed as the main culprits among others.
They also allege that the budget given is not enough since they have to look after other civic problems apart from potholed roads and each ward is sanctioned with only Rs 10 lakh.
