Delhi electricity bill tariffs to might increase!
The electricity bill tariffs might get high! The Delhi power regulator recently proposed differential tariffs on the occasion of announcing the second fuel adjustment surcharge payable to discoms.
As the BSES Yamuna has been allowed to levy a fuel surcharge of 7 percent, the East Delhi residents will end up paying high power tariffs.
Whereas, the BSES Rajdhani which supplies electricity to south and west Delhi will levy tariff of 6 percent and the Tata Delhi Power operates who supply electricity to North and northwest Delhi will pay 4 percent surcharge.
These new power tariff rates will replace flat 5 percent surcharge allowed by DERC. The present surcharge allowed on power is closer to discoms claims as filed on January-March 2012.
