The capital city is been facing long power cuts of up to 12 hours a day for past couple of weeks despite the electricity department’s promise of providing 24×7 power this summer.

The RWA president of Parsvnath Green Ville at Sohna Road, said that all the electricity lines are faulty and to get it repaired they have to pay department officials.

Despite the RWA paying Rs 12.5 lakh to the electricity department, the people are still facing long power cuts.

Another resident of Sector 56 said, water supply is also getting affected due to the irregular power supply and they are facing water scarcity also.

South city area is also facing the similar situation. Residents blame the officials for being careless about the issues and for not informing the public in advance about the power cut schedules.

The whole of capital is being affected by this issue. Residents are not able to even recharge their inverters. The domestic work is stopped due to irregular water supply and electricity.

According to few residents, their expenditure has gone up by several times due to overuse of generators and they are left with no options.

Senior officers of the electricity department commented that they will start the repair work soon and claimed that within few weeks residents will see the change.
