DLF coming up with the largest mall in India
DLF is set to build India’s largest mega mall, which would be a 4-million square feet promenade in Gurgaon.
DLF is to invest Rs 2,000 crore on the project. The mall would be bigger than the 1.5-million sq ft Great India Place mall in Noida and would be comparable with the world’s largest 7-million sq ft New South China mall.
The mall was originally planned in 2005 to be completed by 2007 but the project was stalled. Now the builder is hopeful that the mall’s opening in 2015-16 will coincide with the entry of a number of new retailers and brands into the country as foreign direct investment will be allowed into single and multi-brand retail.
