The vacant plot in DLF City Phase 2 has sparked dispute among the residents over its use. The plot along streets N2, N11 and N12 is being kept for religious purposes. But some residents want a park constructed on it, while some other demand for a community center with a meditation hall for several years.

Already 15 % preferential charge was paid by the N block residents of DLF City Phase 2, Gurgaon  to DLF builders to construct a park in that plot at the time of purchase only. The residents do not want any building to be constructed on the plot.

Residents do not want to loose the green space, where as Qutab Enclave Residents Welfare Association (QERWA) is pushing the developers to construct a community center.

According to the N block residents, this plot which spreads across 3,000 sqm was marked as a green belt in the original layout. In the actual layout, 1000 sqm was separated for boundary wall and it was also finalised that a park will be constructed there.

Haryana Government already gave a notification that 2000 sqm plot will be transformed from green belt to a religious space. According to the notification from government, the developers surrendered the site to the HUDA which invited the application for construction and the QERWA to bag the invitation.

In spite of the declaration by the authority, N block residents are planning to move to the high court with the issue.

The presidents of QERWA told that there was no question of annoying any of the residents of N block. This issue will be resolved soon and both the options will be taken into consideration. taken in consideration about both the options.
