Drains yet to be cleaned in Thane
The drain works at Thane city in Mumbai was not kept upto the mark!
Therefore, a considerable fund was asked to be released and the civic authorities sanctioned the same fund recently.
Every monsoon, the gutters and drains are cleaned to prevent disasters from heavy rain!
However, one of the drain running from Yeoor to Kalwa railway station in Thane city is kept untouched since many years.
The drain works are left unattended and the conditions are turning worse with the days progressing and monsoon soon arriving.
Previous year the civic authorities had sanctioned Rs 3 crore in addition to which Rs 50 lakh has been sanctioned for year 2012.
With such a huge amount of fund released, the condition of drain remains worse than ever! Open drains has always been a major concern for the residents of apartments in Thane and never know when exactly Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) will clear the mess paving way for sooth living.
