Eco-Friendly Vehicle to reduce pollution in Chandigarh

The University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET) in Chandigarh of Punjab university concluded the second day of the three-day Effi-cycle 2011 event. The competition is aimed to invent a efficient human powered vehicle that is both Aerodynamic and Ergonomic. The event aims to initiate the use of eco friendly vehicles in India. The second day of the event was focused towards Acceleration and maneuverability.
Nearly thirty engineering colleges are a part of this event and the vehicles are undergoing various perimeters like design, marketing presentation, cost, utility, electric utility, acceleration event and the endurance run.
A faculty member of UIET has said that event aims to bring the maximum out of the engineers making them flourish not only in the technical know-how but also to bring out the the leadership. The residents are glad and looking forward for a traffic and pollution free city.
