Election commission’s approval sought for demolition of Campa Cola
The BMC has requested chief electoral officer to appoint a contractor to demolish 35 floors across seven buildings in Worli’s Campa Cola society. The residents have been told by the Supreme Court last November to vacate the flats by May 31 to allow the BMC to demolish the illegal flats. Additional municipal commissioner Mohan Adtani points out that the BMC is seeking permission from election commission to appoint a contractor, as the election code of conduct is in force. A new tender will be invited with revised rates, he informed.
