Experts criticized generating electricity from waste as impractical
Nature experts and waste management officials have claimed that the electricity generation from waste is baseless.
This statement came right after Chennai Corporation‘s plan of generating electricity from garbage.
This resolution was passed to resolve the growing garbage menace in dumping grounds in Kodangaiyur and Perungudi. But the experts allege that the the segregation process will take time and is practically impossible.
The experts also opposed the new technology stating that it has also been banned in other countries and also has failed in other cities in the country.
