Fleetcabs’ rate increased by three rupees
There are around 4,500 fleet taxis in Mumbai city and most of them have recalibrated their e-meters.
As per the revised tariff, three rupees have been increased. Earlier it was Rs 24 for first one kilometer and Rs 17 for every subsequent kilometer.
The revised fare would be Rs 27 for first one kilometer and Rs 20 for every subsequent kilometer. Some of the taxis are yet to change the e-meter and if you are lucky enough you can travel by the old fares and save money.
The fleet-cab operators are planning to introduce more taxis on the road by early next year as there is a demand for at least 10,000 private taxis in the Mumbai city. These cabs can be booked by either calling the helpline or on the internet.
