Four smart cities to come up on YEIDA
The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) on Monday said that it has decided to develop four new smart cities along the Yamuna Expressway. The new cities, along the 185-km high-speed link that connects Delhi with Agra, will come up in state’s district areas of Aligarh, Mathura, Agra and Hathras.
PC Gupta, Chief executive officer (CEO), YEIDA said that their project of developing these four urban centres is in sync with Prime Minister Narendra Modi ambitious smart city plan. The Uttar Pradesh Government has already demanded from centre that Yamuna Expressway authority’s urban plans should be put into smart-city category.
This new decision that has been taken will help to speed the development in this region. Building of smart cities is being taken very seriously by the authorities. Plans and other decisions have been taken as how to impact the work in these smart cities. The work on the building of these smart cities has not yet been stated. However it is being expected that the work on the development of these smart cities will soon be starting.
