From April 1, no UDF at Hyderabad airport
At least for the next two years from April 1, flying out of the swanky Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) at Shamshabad is all set to be lighter on the pockets. All credits to the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority’s (AERA) decision to scrap the heavy user development fee (UDF) that airport operator GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL) charges from domestic and international passengers at RGIA from April 1, 2014 till March 31, 2016.
Domestic passengers departing from Hyderabad airport have to pay Rs 484 per passenger, whose division is Rs 430 plus taxes, while international passengers have to pay whopping amount of Rs 1,700 plus taxes, which adds up to Rs 1,910 per passenger.
